James Suckling 92 pts, Robert Parker 93 pts. Made from a result of a meticulous selection of hand picked Nebbiolo grapes, which comes from the best vineyards of the “Froi” farm. Aromas of dried cherries with a hint of spice. Medium-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins where the fruit and minerals combine well, turning saline on the finish. From organically grown grapes..Star anise, pipe tobacco, leather and forest berry aromas emerge from the glass. Fresh and primary, the focused palate shows knife-like precision, featuring sour cherry, cranberry and star anise and a hint of hazelnut alongside firm acidity. Grainy tannins leave a rather complex yet fresh finish. It takes the name of the farmhouse, being that it is a selection of grapes taken from the vineyards around the property.
All the beauty and strength of the Piedmontese philosophy shows in this traditional wine. It is aged in large barrels of Slavonian oak (2500-litre casks) where it rests for two years. Elegant and fruity wine.
